A law graduate and civic leader, Shaian Mohammadi currently works as a Paralegal at the Law Offices of Rafael Urena & Curtis Morrison in Los Angeles, California, helping immigrant families and women seeking domestic violence lottery visas. He has been a part of lawsuits involving the Secretary of State and the United States Department of State. Shaian Mohammadi is also an entrepreneur and concurrently works as a digital marketing and business strategist for DealerXT in San Jose, California.

In the course of studying for his law degree, Shaian Mohammadi served as a member of his Moot Court Honors Board, an Ombudsman of his Student Bar Association, and as Associate Editor of his law school journal and newspaper. He is also a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. During law school, Shaian Mohammadi did his student legal clerkship with the Santa Clara County Office of the Public Defender, and the United States Department of Justice.

Shaian Mohammadi has worked extensively in his community advocating for the rights of the underserved as well as promoting civic engagement. He completed internships with the California Innocence Project and the Community Law Project during the course of his education. For his post-bar clerkship, he worked with the DreamCorps #cut50 nonprofit initiative based in Oakland, California. Shaian Mohammadi later served as an Obama administration appointee.

Shaian Mohammadi’s community work has earned him several honors. In 2016, he received a Certificate of Distinction by the Pro Bono & Public Service Honors Society at the California Western School of Law. In 2017, he received the Justice Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Award through the State Bar of California.
